flowers (Mothers, Grandmothers, organist, soloist, hostesses, etc.) to assure

that they receive their flowers prior to being seated.

Hold the bride's wedding bouquet for the exchange of rings during the ceremony

and hand it back just before the recessional.

BEST MAN:

Alert ushers as to the ladies who will be wearing flowers and make sure they

are not seated before receiving them.

Check that all the men have their boutonnieres and are wearing them properly.

HOW TO WEAR A BOUTONNIERE?

A boutonniere is a small flower accent ( small corsage) designed for a man

and is worn on the lapel of his suit. Boutonniere should always be worn on

the left lapel, pinned to the buttonhole, with stems down and flowers

 pointing upward.

WHO SHOULD WEAR A BOUTONNIERE?

Boutonniere are usually worn by the Groom, Best Man, Groomsmen, Ushers,

Fathers and Grandfathers of the Bride and Groom and Ring Bearer.   A

boutonniere can also be worn by Step-fathers, Godfathers,  or any other special male

in the Bride or Groom's life.

Boutonniere can also be worn by the Master of Ceremony, Minister,

Organist or Vocalist  ( if male).

 FLOWERS FOR THE BRIDAL PARTY:

Usually, bridesmaids carry a small bouquet of flowers but there are other options

that are becoming popular as well. Corsages that can be worn in the hair, at the

waist or on a hat or an especially daring look with a trailing corsage over the

bridesmaids shoulders are also good options.  A small bouquet held in a purse

is also a good choice.  Just be sure that the corsages are all worn on the same

side by the bridesmaids.

WHO SHOULD WEAR A CORSAGE?

A corsage is usually worn by the Mothers of the Bride and Groom and

Grandmothers.  But can also be ordered for Step-Mothers, Godmothers,

or any other special lady in the Bride and Groom's life.

Corsages can also be worn by a personal attendant, wedding planner,

organist or vocalist if female.  Corsages can also be placed on the

guest book , near the punch bowl or cake.

HOW TO WEAR A CORSAGE?

Corsages for the ladies can be pinned onto the dress at the left shoulder

or even at the waist.  It can also be worn on the wrist, in the hair, on

a purse or even on a hat.  It is always worn on the left side.

It is becoming quite popular now for the Mothers of the Bride and Groom

to carry a small posy of flowers rather than wearing a corsage.
